Guy Fawkes season 2014 an excursion was made to Bridgewater for the famous carnival. Large floats illuminated with thousands of light bulbs make their way down the centre of Bridgwater.
The floats are prepared during the year stored around the in farms around the county of Somerset. The floats were still using filament bulbs in 2014 unless special supplies can be smuggled the lighting will have to be modernised with energy saving lighting.

Transport
Bridgwater Railway Station is a 20 minute walk to the carnival site. Making it an easy trip from Bristol to see the floats. However catching the last train back to Bristol meant missing the end of the procession. However by then we were ready to head back.
